June

June was fun.  Jaden and I went to Disneyland and the beach.  Jaden got a four wheeler.  We frequented parks and enjoyed the blow up pool in our backyard.

We went to Disneyland with my mom, Amy, Andrew, their kids, Ashley, Josh G. and Aaron.  Jaden hated most everything about it.  Especially Pirates of the Caribbean.  Poor little guy.  He thought he was going to die on that ride.  I was able to go on Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, California Screamin' and I met Tinker Bell.  I did go on other rides/see other characters, but those were the only 4 I really wanted to do, so I consider the trip a success for me.

Things Jaden enjoyed:

A car at Mickey's house

Meeting Mator and Lightning McQueen

Playing with Paige

His $4 Mickey phone

Things Jaden hated:

Mickey Mouse.  Or any other character.

Not being able to nap.  ANYWHERE!  He finally crashed here.

I don't have a picture of him on Pirates, but I do have a video that you can hear him screaming the entire time.  I'll have to find that and post it.  My siblings that were there would appreciate hearing that again.

Things I enjoyed:

California Screamin'

Meeting Tinker Bell

Having a happy baby for 5 minutes

Indiana Jones.  There should be a minimum weight for this.  Tyler was plenty tall, but his skinny little body almost fell out several times.

Hailey.  Especially her excitement to meet Princesses.

Hanging out with cool siblings.

A baby that finally sleeps.

I thought the beach would be much better for Jaden.  Turns out that he is scared of the ocean.  Didn't even want to stick a toe in it.  He did like the swings there.  My favorite part was getting "pulled over" for jaywalking across Ocean Avenue with Aaron.  He made me do it.  But, in his defense he did live in Boston for 2 years where everyone jaywalks.

Now for the rest of June.  Josh got Jaden his first 4 wheeler.  We hung out at parks and in our backyard pool.

Josh spent the month of June traveling to Spain, Russia, Japan and Poland.  He kept pretty busy.  Actually, I have no idea beyond the fact that he was busy working and had too many meetings to come to California with us.  We missed him, but he was with us for the rest of the month...I just don't have pictures to prove that.  Note to self-take pictures of Josh and with Josh.

Dear Becky (and whoever else was wondering),

Since you asked, I thought I'd answer.  I decided to do a catch up for 2 reasons.

1-In case I ever decide to make a book of this blog...I don't want several months missing.  This is the only type of journal or documentation of our lives I have.

2-I just couldn't post current things without remembering that I hadn't posted previous things.  It's just been something nagging in the back of my mind.

Love, Ade

May

We didn't do much in May.  Took a relaxing trip to St. George with Josh, Jaden, our good friend Katey and 3 other girls for the Women's Expo.  It ended up not being very relaxing at all.  That's a long story, and I'd rather not get into it.  But the pool and hot tub were nice.  And so was Target.  Oh, and their Maverick sells Live Wire Mountain Dew (no where in Logan sells it and I've been searching for years)!  That about wraps that up.  I took Jaden and our niece, Kaylee, to the Logan zoo for the first time.  Jaden liked the ducks-good thing there's a lot of them there.

The only picture from St. George.  A wedding reception table at the Women's Expo.  I'm relatively glad this is the only picture to remember the trip.  However a picture of me and Katey in our matching black and white polk-a-dot swimsuits would have been really cute.

The zoo!

And that was May.

April

April was a busy, busy month.  We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.  We lived at my mom's house for most of the month while we remodeled both our bathrooms.  Easter.  My birthday.  Oh, and I got a mullet...I mean hair extensions.

First-the temple.  What a totally awesome experience.  First time around we skipped everything, so this time I got a dress, flowers, did the hair (which the extensions were for), boys had tuxes.  When they brought Jaden in the sealing room in his white tux it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen.  He looked just like an angel.  We are so glad to have been able to share this experience with so many family and close friends.

Next-Bathroom remodels.  I can't seem to find the real before or after pictures right now, so these in progress will have to do for now.  We basically started from scratch on both.  They turned out perfect and can I just say that I am LOVING the jetted tub!

Easter.  Great little yummy holiday.  Don't we look real cute all dressed up?  Also, Jaden discovered that putting whole wrapped candy in his mouth isn't the best way to get to the good stuff.

My birthday.  I don't think we took pictures.  ???  Just imagine me opening my Cricut-love at first sight.
And last, the extensions.  I wanted some extra length to my hair for the sealing and also to help me get past a difficult stage of growing it out.  I could never quite figure out how to fix it though.  So it looked more like the picture below (maybe not so bad) and then ended up in a ponytail within 10 minutes.  Within 3 weeks I pulled them all out myself.  If anyone needs blondish hair let me know...I have a ziploc bag full of it.  And it was very expensive hair.  Top of the line.  Please don't ever let me do that again.  Am I seriously posting this picture online as well?  Yuck!

We're gonna play catch up...Adrienne style.

Month by month starting with April.

(Really?  APRIL?  It's been a while.)
